Privacy Policy for Tutors

This policy explains what information Dissemi collects about you as a Tutor, why, how long we keep it and what choices you have. Dissemi is operated by Dissemi [legal entity — to be formed]. It applies to the Dissemi website and is read together with our Terms of Service for Tutors. If you also use Dissemi as a Student, the Privacy Policy for Students covers that side.

What we collect

• Account. The email address you sign up with and a sign-in identifier from our sign-in provider.
• Tutor Profile. Your name, photo and bio, and your Teaching Areas: each one a subject with the levels and languages you teach it at.
• Availability. Whether you are available, and when your page last contacted us, which is how we tell that you are still there. We also keep working data used to decide which Requests suit you.
• Offers. Each offer made to you, with the payout amount shown on it, when it expires and whether you accepted, declined or let it expire.
• Sessions. The Student, the subject, topic, level and language, the start and end times, when you joined and the length of the Session. We also keep the technical details needed to open the video room for your Call.
• Chat messages sent during a Session. They belong to that Session.
• Ratings you give and receive after a Session, with any comment, and your Stars and Standing.
• Terms Acceptances. Which version of the Terms and the Privacy Policy you agreed to, and when.
• Payout details. While we are testing, payouts are manual PayPal transfers. You give us the details for the transfer outside the app, by email, and the app itself stores no PayPal details. We keep those details and your payout history so we can pay you and for tax records. If we ask for tax information, such as a W-9, we keep it for the same purposes.
• Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the product is used. It receives an opaque user id (your sign-in identifier, not your name or email) and whether you are using the Student or the Tutor side. We never send your name, email, topics, chat messages, file names or other free text to it.

We do not record Sessions.

How we collect it

You give us most of this yourself when you sign up, build your Tutor Profile, set your availability or use a Session. Some is collected automatically through cookies and Google Analytics.

Why we use it

• To run the service: sign you in, decide which Requests to offer you, hold Sessions and calculate your payout.
• To set the payout on an offer, and to raise it while a Student keeps waiting.
• To pay you, and to keep the records we need for taxes.
• To run ratings, Stars and Standing, which set matching priority.
• To show Students who you are: your Tutor Profile is public to Students, including your name, photo, bio, Teaching Areas and Stars.
• To keep Dissemi safe: prevent misuse and enforce our Terms.
• To improve the product through usage analytics.
• To share totals and averages that cannot identify you, such as typical earnings per Session, when we describe Dissemi to people who may want to tutor.
• To keep a record of what you agreed to, and to meet legal obligations.

What Students see

A Student can see your Tutor Profile: your name, photo, bio, Teaching Areas and Stars. The Student of a Session can also chat with you during it. Students never see your email address or your payout details.

How long we keep it

• Profile, availability, offers, Sessions, chat messages, ratings and Standing are kept until you ask us to delete your Account.
• Payout details and payout history are kept for as long as we need them to pay you and to meet tax record requirements, even after you ask us to delete your Account.
• Attachments a Student shares with you are deleted about 2 days after they are added, and links to open them expire after 15 minutes.
• Terms Acceptances are kept as the record of what you agreed to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the Student of your Session, as described above, and with the services that help us run Dissemi:

• Firebase and Google, for sign-in.
• Daily, for live video and audio in Calls.
• Google Analytics, for usage analytics.
• Google Cloud, for hosting and storage.
• PayPal, when we send you a payout.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies

Dissemi sets one essential cookie, __session. It holds your signed-in session: who you are, which Profile is active and which Terms version you accepted. It lasts 7 days and Dissemi cannot work without it.

Google Analytics also sets cookies to measure usage. See the next section for how to turn analytics off.

Your privacy choices

• Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, Dissemi turns analytics off for you.
• Copy or deletion. To get a copy of your data, or to ask us to delete it and your Account, email erickdesantiago11@gmail.com. There is no in-app deletion yet. We may keep payout and tax records as described above.
• You can also correct your Tutor Profile and Teaching Areas at any time in the product.

Security

We protect data with encrypted connections and limit who can access it. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

Dissemi is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we learn we have.

Changes to this policy

When we publish a new version, you must accept it again before you continue. We never interrupt a live Call to ask.
